Little Red (pair)
A replica of a 1952 Bomber model 300, our Little Red is an excellent multi-species bait. We personally rely on the natural Red Cedar variation when nothing else in our tackle box is working. At 2 1/8" not including the lip, this lure is a deep-diver with consistent, tight vibration. Owing to the light-weight circuit board blanks we use as a lip, it quickly makes its way to the surface when you stop reeling. Sold as pairs, we also offer these little fellas in a walnut box with a sliding acrylic lid.
You may have heard of the controversy surrounding David Hayes' 11 lb. 15 oz. Smallmouth Bass record set in July 1955. Among the contentious argument surrounding his catch, sources disagree about whether he was using a model 300 or the approximately 4" model 600. Despite his record being rescinded in 1996 after an affidavit cast doubt on the bass' weight, it has since been reinstated.
