John has wanted to introduce his own lure for years, but always drew a line between the classic designs and more contemporary models. He felt that modern takes on classics rarely lived up to their predecessors. After years of testing and plenty of scrapped lures, we have the Wiseman's Choice. It's named after a great family friend whose input and time on the water was invaluable to the testing process.
Wiseman's Choice is the distillation of the best design characteristics from three of our favorite lures, two from the '20s and one more contemporary. Each classic element was carefully considered and tailored to modern anglers. The result is quite a well casting bass lure: 3 1/2" long and weighing 1/2 oz.
