Description
A wonderful gift for any occasion! Great for Bass, Muskie, Northern Pike, & Walleye.

1906
1906 is our version of the Creek Chub Wiggler. The Wiggler was the only lure Creek Chub made during its first ten years in business. It was responsible for "putting 'em on the map". This versatile lure works great on all game fish. It runs about 6 to 8 feet deep, measures 3 1/2", and weighs a whopping 5/8 oz. A must in every tackle box, especially for bass and pike!
*Now with oversized 2/0 hooks and antique style glass eyes*
Abraham 250
Our version of the 1910 Heddon Model 250. A surface lure made for Big Bass & Northern Pike. Length is 4", with two sets of treble hooks. Weight is 3/4 oz. You can purchase just the lure, or include our handcrafted wooden collector box, in your choice of Kentucky Coffee Bean, or (aromatic) Red Cedar.
April 13
Replica of a 1920 Heddon Lucky 13. It is our opinion that the famous Lucky 13 is the lure that set the standard for all top water lures. At John's Classic Lures, we take pride in our April 13 being within one millimeter of the original. Length is 3 3/4 inches. Great for Bass & Northern Pike. It is an excellent all-around lure. You can purchase just the lure, or include our solid wood collector's box in Kentucky Coffee Bean, or (aromatic) Red Cedar.
Bailey Bait
This is a handcrafted replica of a 1940 Bomber Bait Co. Bomber. It runs backwards like a crawdad. If you hit a limb underwater, it's the backside gets hit rather than the hook side. But most important-it is a model 600 Bomber that has held the Small Mouth Bass world record since 1955. It's length is 4 1/4 inches (overall). Great for Bass & Walleye. You can purchase just the lure, or include our solid wood collector's box in Kentucky Coffee Bean, or (aromatic) Red Cedar.
Big Luke
Replica of a 1924 Creek Chub Injured Minnow Model 1500. The company made them in several sizes; big, little, & bigger, but they never made a bad one. The Model 1500 was the most popular. I caught my first bass on an Injured Minnow. Length is 3 3/4 inches. You can purchase just the lure, or include our solid wood collector's box in Kentucky Coffee Bean, or (aromatic) Red Cedar.
Eagle River
Replica of the famous 1916 South Bend Bass O'Reno. Along with the Jitterbug, it is the most recognizable lure we make. In the old days, all of us old timers had several of these in our tackle box for one reason; they work! We get more testimonials about the success of this lure than any other. Often called the "Red Head." Color is regal red and antique white combination. Length is 3 7/8 inches. Use for Bass & Pike. You can purchase just the lure, or include our solid wood collector's box in Kentucky Coffee Bean, or (aromatic) Red Cedar.
Gina Lou
Huck Finn
Replica of a 1948 Arbogast Hula Popper. In May of 2012, Outdoor Life wrote an article about the top 10 lures in history, the ones that stood the test of time. You guessed it, the original Hula Popper was in the top 10. We are very proud of our replica of this famous lure. So just throw this little dude over by the lily pads and see what happens. Length is 3 inches. Great for Bass. You can purchase just the lure, or include our solid wood collector's box in Kentucky Coffee Bean,or (aromatic) Red Cedar.
Jace River
The Jace River is a replica of the 1948 South Bend Nip-I-Diddee. Its diminutive size satisfied demand by fisherman for smaller lures. Don't let its size fool you; this one is a great "fish producer." Length is 3". Weighs approx. 3/8 oz.
Trevor Creek
Replica of 1920 Creek Chub Pikie Minnow, the one that set the Muskie World Record in 1949! Cal Johnson caught the famous 67 lb. 6 oz. Muskellunge in Wisconsin's Chippewa Flowage on a South Bend Pikie Minnow. This record was held for almost 50 years. Length is 4 1/8". Used for Bass, Walleye, Northern Pike, & Muskie. You can purchase just the lure or include our solid wood collector's box in Kentucky Coffee Bean or (aromatic) Red Cedar.
1920 Creek Chub Pikie Minnow records:
- 1924, June 15th: Fritz Freibel of Florida catches 20 lb. 2 oz. largemouth bass on model 700 Pikie Minnow.
- 1927: William E. Bostwict sets the northern pike record with a 36 lb. 9 oz. monster caught on a model 700 Pikie in Canada.
- 1927: Charles Marquat catches an 8 lb. 3 oz. smallmouth bass on a model 700 Pikie from North Twin Lakes in Wisconsin.
- 1933: Tony Brothers of Cincinnati, Ohio caught an 18 lb. walleye in Wisconsin's High Lake on a model 700 Pikie.
- 1941: Walter Harden of Florida caught an 11 lb. 11 oz. smallmouth bass on a model 700 Pikie.
- 1950: Wayland Hyche caught an 11 lb. 8 oz. spotted bass on a model 700 Pikie.
Now the Creek Chub Pikie Minnow becomes one of the most popular lures in the world.
No lure has since has held records for three of the most popular game fish at the same time.
Wiseman's Choice
Wiseman's Choice is the distillation of the best design characteristics from three of our favorite lures, two from the '20s and one more contemporary. Each classic element was carefully considered and tailored to modern anglers. The result is quite a well casting bass lure: 3 1/2" long and weighing 1/2 oz.
Zorro
Replica of a 1939 Heddon Zara Spook. Every Bass pro uses the Zara Spook! Favorite colors for the pros are the classic black, and bone white! Take your pick, we have them both. Length is 4 1/4 inches. Weight is 3/4 oz. You can purchase just the lure, or include our solid wood collector's box in Kentucky Coffee Bean, or (aromatic) Red Cedar.
